PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - A Peoria woman was chosen to be on the second season of the popular Netflix game show, “Squid Game: The Challenge.”
Katie Cox was one of the 456 brand-new contestants chosen to compete for a $4.56 million prize in season two of the show. She is a 13-year breast cancer survivor and currently works at the Children’s Home Associate of Illinois.
The competition, based off of the original series Squid Game, puts people’s morals, character, and strength to the test and has them face challenges that keep the player in the game, sometimes at the expense of another player.
