The High Court in Blantyre has postponed until further notice the hearing of the case involving the registered trustees of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church and members of the Bangwe SDA Church, which was dissolved for allegedly failing to comply with SDA doctrine.
According to court documents, the SDA Church trustees are seeking to reclaim church property located at Mzedi 23/8, plot MZ(LE) 16/52/10, currently under the control of Bangwe SDA. Additionally, the trustees are demanding that Bangwe SDA pay at least K700,000 per month from March 2025 until the properties are returned.
The case involves members expelled from Bangwe SDA, who are contesting the claims in court. They include Amos Kuipa, Patrick Raphael, Edward Makuwira, Cidreck Yusuf, and Don Chisale. Justice Allan Muhome is
