Caitlin Zegler had two goals and an assist to help give fifth-seeded Pequannock a 3-0 victory over 12th-seeded Hawthorne in the first round of the North Jersey, Group 1 playoffs in Pompton Plains.

Olivia Young contributed a goal and an assist for Pequannock (17-2-1).

Pequannock led 2-0 at halftime before adding a goal in the second half.

Hawthorne falls to 10-6-2.

Pequannock will face fourth-seeded Saddle Brook in the quarterfinal round.
