AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF)- The White House administration says it will now send out reduced SNAP benefits but there will be delays.
Local organizations are continuing to donate food to help make sure these families are fed.
Organizations like the Greater Augusta Arts Council are collecting donations to make sure no one goes hungry.
With these collections they will donate them to the Golden Harvest Food Bank to help keep the shelves full.
They will be collecting can goods, nonperishables, toiletries, items for women and babies, and even adult diapers.
The Greater Augusta Arts Council Gallery and Public Art Director said this donation drive means a lot to her.
"I grew up as a kid that was food insecure. So I kind of have a personal, you know, feeling towards this. I there's a lot of artists
