A case of alleged ragging has emerged from Niglok Sainik School in East Siang district, following the death of a Class 7 student whose body was found in a water tank on November 1.

The family of the deceased has accused senior students of mentally and physically torturing him through the night before his death.

The victim’s sister, Tadu Lunia, shared a detailed account of the incident on Instagram, alleging that around 11 PM on October 31, eight Class 10 students and three Class 8 students entered the junior dormitory.

According to her, the seniors threatened and intimidated the juniors before taking her brother to the Class 10 dormitory, where he was allegedly subjected to prolonged torture.

Lunia further claimed that CCTV footage shows her brother outside his dormitory at around 5:45
