At only 23, Billie Eilish is a primary force in progressive pop music. Her third studio album, 2024’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” continued her string of critical and commercial successes. Like its predecessors, “Hit Me Hard and Soft” was co-written and produced by her brother Finneas O’Connell. Also like its predecessors, the album found fresh ways to showcase Eilish’s striking soprano and point of view.
