Vande Bharat sleeper train has successfully achieved a top speed of 180 km per hour on the Sawai-Madhopur-Kota-Nagda section during its trial run. The high-speed trial was conducted by the West Central Railway division. Developed by BEML (Bharat Earth Movers Limited) using ICF (Integral Coach Factory) technology, the train is designed for long-distance routes and promises greater comfort with sleeper berths instead of regular seats.

The high-speed trial was conducted by the Test Directorate team of the Research Designs and Standards Organization (RDSO). “The successful test marks a significant milestone under the Indian Railways’ ‘Mission Gati Shakti’, aimed at enhancing both speed and efficiency across the country’s rail network," said the West Central Railway.
