New Delhi, Nov 06: Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal announced that India and New Zealand are negotiating a balanced trade pact focused on future readiness, enhancing economic ties, and creating opportunities for businesses and consumers.

During his visit to New Zealand, Goyal reviewed the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations with counterpart Todd McClay and attended a CEOs Roundtable in Rotorua, where he encouraged New Zealand companies to collaborate with Indian firms. He emphasized sectors like technology, agriculture, and clean energy for potential growth.

Goyal also appreciated the cultural welcome he received in Rotorua and expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality.
