Rural residents looking to become vaccinated against COVID-19, the flu or respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) have plenty of options this fall, even if they live far from Thunder Bay.

Medical clinics, Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and pharmacies across the region are making vaccines available to protect against two or three of the viruses that usually tick up during the cooler months.

"Everyone is now eligible for a flu shot and their next dose of COVID-19 vaccine if they are six months and older," a Thunder Bay District Health Unit bulletin says.

"Those who are considered high risk and priority groups continue to be eligible."

The bulletin added: "Don't delay waiting for a specific brand of flu vaccine, any available vaccine is better than waiting."
