BENGALURU: Kannada film actor Harish Rai passed away on Thursday after a long battle with cancer. He was 55. The actor was undergoing treatment for thyroid cancer. He was best known for his role as Khasim Chacha in the film KGF. The KGF team expressed their condolences through a Facebook post.
KGF team’s response on social media to Harish Rai’s death:
“We are deeply saddened by the demise of #HarishRai.
Your exceptional performances and the brilliance you brought to the cinema will be forever remembered.
Rest in peace, dear Khasim Chacha.”
Apart from Kannada films, Rai had also acted in Tamil and Telugu films. He played notable roles in films like Om, Samara, Bangalore Underworld, Jodi Haki, Raj Bahadur, Sanju Weds Geetha and Swayamvara. He has also acted in two films in the KGF franc
