Portsmouth Police seek suspect in armed robbery on High Street

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) -- Portsmouth Police are searching for a suspect who brandished a firearm during a robbery on High Street Thursday afternoon.

Officers responded to the reported robbery in the 3200 block of High Street at approximately 2:35 p.m.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspect, who was wearing a black shirt, black pants and a beanie-style hat with ear-like tufts at the top and a white border.

There were no injuries reported.
