A man who was reportedly running naked with a handgun in Portland’s Lloyd District was struck by a patrol car, shocked with a Taser and injured by police Wednesday night, authorities said.
Around 9:42 p.m., Portland police said they received multiple reports of man without clothing running in the area of Northeast Hassalo Street. When officers arrived, the man was no longer there. After searching the area, they found him near Northeast Grand Avenue and Northeast Multnomah Street.
Officers reported hearing a gunshot before the man, who has not been identified, began running south on Northeast Grand Avenue with the handgun, police said.
