SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake County facilities will be bathed in green until Veterans Day to honor veterans.

It’s part of Operation Green Light, a national initiative that features green lights shining on buildings across the country.

Chris Bronson, communications manager with Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office , said the green lights are a visual way to shine a light on the service and sacrifice of veterans and their families.

“Their discipline, integrity and sense of duty continue to inspire us, and it’s just a small thing that we can do to help honor them as we approach Veterans Day.”

Bronson said he hopes homeowners and business owners will also show their support with green lights.
