DORCHESTER, Mass. (WWLP) - The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday is an estimated $843 million, making it the eighth largest in the game's history.

The cash option for the Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $391.7 million. This drawing marks the thirty-eighth since the jackpot was last hit on June 27, when a $348 million prize was won in Virginia. The current jackpot is the largest since a $1.269 billion prize was won on December 27, 2024, in California.

Mega Millions tickets cost $5 and are available for purchase in 45 states, Washington D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets for Friday's drawing can be purchased until 10:45 p.m. at Mass Lottery retailers throughout the state. Drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 p.m. in Atlanta, GA.
