Mumbai: Three person died and many others were injured after being hit by a train near Sandhurst Road station on Thursday evening, officials said. The incident occurred shortly after a flash strike by railway employees disrupted services at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) during peak hours.
According to sources, a group of people was walking along the tracks when a train approached. They were unable to move out of the way in time and were struck by the oncoming train. Train services on the route were affected following the mishap.
