SZA is hitting snooze on the Nicki Minaj chatter.
Just three months after the “Feeling Myself” rapper publicly attacked SZA’s appearance and questioned her career achievements, the singer is speaking out.
“I don’t know her,” SZA told GQ in an interview published Nov. 6. “We have no connection to each other. There’s no backstory. Like, there was no through line narrative. It was just like, ‘Roc Nation’.... I don’t know where it came from. That’s not even my place to correct a narrative that I don’t got s--t to do with.”
She added, “It was a little strange. It was very like, ‘Why?’ But also, you know, ‘I guess.’”
In July, SZA came under fire from Nicki as the “Super Bass” rapper accused her of sub-tweeting, after she aired her grievances with SZA’s labelmate Punch .
