ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany Police Department is investigating the shooting of a teen that happened on Wednesday evening. Officers said it happened near Hummel Terrace and Second Avenue.
Police responded to the area around 8 p.m. after hearing reports of a shooting and said they found a 16-year-old boy with a lower leg gunshot wound. Law enforcement believes the incident happened near the basketball courts.
The Albany Fire Department and emergency medical personnel treated the victim on scene before transporting him to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
