TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The United Way of the Greater Capital Region is partnering with the Troy Public Library to ensure local kids have access to books at their home. In celebration of Children's Book Week, when families sign up their children for a Troy Public Library Card by November 9, they can also enroll them in the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

Through the program, they will receive a free book each month to help families build their own libraries at home. Parents said they hope this instills a lifelong love of reading in their children.
