NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — This Saturday, residents in West Nashville can ask questions of their local representative and help keep a greenway clean.
For about the last year, Metro Councilmember Thom Druffel (District 23), has held monthly walks in Brookmeade Park along the greenway
"Two or three years ago that was a homeless encampment, and starting about a year ago I saw not many people were going there," Druffel said about the park and greenway. "I think people just forgot about it, so what I wanted to do was sort of get people back interested."
Druffel hosts the walks, often with coffee and donuts, featuring a speaker.
This month's walk just so happened to coincide with a previously scheduled "weed wrangle" hosted by local historian Bob Henderson, Druffel told News 2.
