Frail drug mule gran Lindsay Sandiford today experienced freedom for the first time in a decade as she departed her hellish Bali prison in a wheelchair. The 69-year-old pensioner - handed the death penalty in 2013 for trafficking £1.6m of cocaine into Indonesia - was today released to commence the lengthy 8,000-mile voyage home to Britain.
Images reveal grey-haired Sandiford, 69, appearing dishevelled and donning a face mask after exiting Bali's infamous Kerobokan prison and preparing to board a flight home. The Mirror disclosed Sandiford is scheduled to take her UK-funded £600 seat which departs just after midnight Indonesian time.
She will undertake a 20-hour voyage back to London Heathrow, with a brief layover, reports the Mirror . She is reported to be "desperate" to return home
