An investigation has been launched after yobs launched a firework at a car with a woman and children inside.
The terrifying incident took place on Bonfire Night between 7pm and 11pm, when police were alerted to thugs hurling fireworks towards oncoming traffic and shops in the town of Clydebank , West Dunbartonshire.
The youngsters threw missiles which smashed a car window, hit a pedestrian and generally terrorised locals, many of whom were left shaken by the three-hour-long ordeal.
The man was struck with a firework in the Dumbarton Road area at around 10.40pm on November 5, when Guy Fawkes Night saw displays and bonfires - that were meant to be official and organised - take place across Scotland .
