KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is inviting people to a public meeting later in the month, hoping to get feedback on developing a county-own property into a driving track for officer training.
The 55.5-acre property is located at 6101 Foote Mineral Ln. and has been county-owned for decades, property records show. It sits surrounded by residential subdivisions near Amherst Road and Ball Camp Pike.
The goal of the meeting, the sheriff’s office said, is to get feedback from the community on the project, offering those in the area to ask questions and share feedback. It’s scheduled for 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 18 at Grace Lutheran Church, 9076 Middlebrook Pk.
Details of what the project will look like weren’t shared by the sheriff’s office, but WVLT has reached
