KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - District Attorney General Charme Allen announced on Thursday that a Knox County man, who was convicted of sexually assaulting three children, will be spending decades behind bars.

DA Allen said Jessie Eugene Hurst, 71, was convicted of three counts of rape of a child, three counts of aggravated sexual battery, two counts of sexual battery by an authority figure, two counts of rape and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child.

At a sentencing hearing on Nov. 6, Judge Hector Sanchez sentenced Hurst to serve 60 years in the Tennessee Department of Correction.
