Temperatures in the mid-30s the day before Veterans Day? It could happen in Ocala and Marion County.

The National Weather Service is predicting a low of 35 degrees the night of Nov. 10 and a low of 37 degrees the night of Nov. 11, which is Veterans Day.

During the day, the high temperature is expected to be 61 degrees on Nov. 10 and 60 on Nov. 11.

This might come as a bit of a weather shock, since the high temperature during the day on Nov. 9 is expected to be near 82. According to the weather service, a cold front will move through the area the afternoon and evening of Nov. 9.

Meanwhile, an arctic blast of frigid air is expected to plunge low temperatures into the 30s throughout the Florida Panhandle. It may bring the first freeze of the season up there.
