(KRON) -- The San Jose Police Department has announced the arrest of a man accused of repeatedly ramming a parked food truck with his vehicle last summer. Orlando Rivero, 27, of San Jose, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
Rivero's arrest stems from an incident on Aug. 18. At around 11:25 p.m., officers responded to the 2900 block of Monterey Road on a report of assault with a deadly weapon. In an incident that was captured on video, the suspect is seen driving his white Ford pickup directly into the parked food vendor, multiple times.
Three employees were inside the food truck at the time and were able to exit the vehicle without injury, police said. The damage caused by the attack was estimated to be around $10,000.
