LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The murder trial of a former Republican congressional candidate and ex-wrestler is set to take place in June 2026, following the denial of his petition by the Nevada Supreme Court in April.
Daniel Rodimer, 48, is accused of punching Christopher Tapp, 47, on Oct. 29, 2023, during a Halloween party at the Resorts World on the Las Vegas Strip. Tapp, an ex-convict, died about one week later due to his injuries.
Clark County Chief Deputy District Attorney Giancarlo Pesci and defense attorney Richard Schonfeld appeared briefly in court Thursday morning. They told the judge they would be ready for the June 15 trial.
Rodimer, who remains out of custody on a $200,000 bail and now lives in Texas, was also in the courtroom, as was Tapp's mother, Vera, and a friend.
