CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston Police Department has charged a suspect in connection with a deadly apartment complex shooting on Halloween.

Zaire Christopher Nelson, 20, of Charleston, is charged with murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and pointing and presenting a firearm.

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the man who was killed in a Halloween party shooting Friday night.

Officers responded to a shooting that happened at around 12:45 a.m. Saturday at the 930 NoMo apartment complex on Morrison Drive. Upon arrival, police say they found Aden Gore, 21, of Charleston, dead in a hallway and another man shot in the leg on the property. The hurt man was taken to a
