KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — A Knox County man was sentenced to 60 years in prison, two months after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting three children.

In August, 71-year-old Jessie Hurst was convicted of three counts of child rape, three counts of aggravated sexual battery, two counts of sexual battery by an authority figure, two counts of rape and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child, according to Knox County District Attorney General Charme Allen.

Allen said Judge Hector Sanchez ordered him to serve 60 years in the Tennessee Department of Correction.

According to Allen, one of the victims told investigators Hurst had sexually assaulted her numerous times beginning in 2015 when she was 11 years old. The Knox County Sheriff's Office identified two other victims who said the
