Rainfall warnings have been issued for parts of Metro Vancouver as another storm system moves into the region.
Environment Canada said in a warning issued Thursday morning that a frontal system passed through the B.C. South Coast on Wednesday and brought 20 to 40 millimetres of rain.
“The next robust frontal system is expected to pass through starting midday (Thursday),” it said, bringing another 20 to 40 mm before it eases off later this evening.
The rain warnings are for Howe Sound, the North Shore and northeast Metro Vancouver including Coquitlam and Maple Ridge. Other parts of Metro including Vancouver, Surrey, Langley, Richmond and Burnaby are not under any weather alerts.
Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas and could make for a messy afternoon commute.
