GREENSBURG, Ky. (WBKO) - Two people were arrested after a lengthy theft investigation by the Greensburg Police Department.

The investigation was initiated on December 19, 2024, after police received a complaint from the current Chief and Treasurer of the Green County Fire Department. Following the installation of newly elected officers, discrepancies were identified in the department’s financial records, prompting the officers to contact GPD for further review.

Through the investigation, it was determined that over nearly eight years, Joshua Gupton and Amelia “Brooke” Gupton allegedly misused GCFD funds to pay personal expenses and made unauthorized purchases using department bank cards and accounts.
