GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) - A year after her son’s death, a mother has filed a complaint against the Barren County Family YMCA, Barren County Family YMCA Foundation and National Council of Young Men’s Christian Association of the USA.
WBKO first covered the incident last November when Kentucky State Police were called to the scene to investigate. KSP reported Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) Game Warden recruit, William “Tex” Bailey, experienced a medial emergency during training. The 24 -year-old was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
His mother, Deborah Chance, has now filed a complaint alleging his death was “senseless and avoidable.”
The lawsuit claims Bailey was showing clear signs of drowning during his training and was unable to keep his head
