Americans will face flight cancellations at dozens of major airports around the country thanks to the ongoing government shutdown .
The country's air traffic controllers have been working without pay for more than a month as the fight over funding the federal government drags on. Forty major airports will see a 10% cut in flights to relieve pressure on the federal workers, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced Nov. 5.
