Former Memphis Grizzlies star guard Tony Allen has been accused of drug possession in Arkansas.
Allen, 43, was arrested by officers with the Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, according to jail records . His arrest occurred around 2 p.m. local time when a car driven by William Hatton, 33, was stopped by police on Interstate 555 about 50 miles from Memphis, Tennessee, AP reports.
During the stop, officers initiated a search of the vehicle after detecting an odor of marijuana, Sheriff Kevin Molder said, according to WREG News Channel 3 in Arkansas .
Officers discovered a cigarette box with a powdery substance, later identified as cocaine, according to a PCSO report. Allen was also found to be in possession of a package of a leafy substance, which was later identified as
