PALMYRA, Wis. (WFRV) - An egg supplier in Wisconsin announced on Wednesday that it is issuing a temporary layoff of about 65 employees in the coming days.
In a November 5 letter addressed to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD), Daybreak Foods, Inc. said the layoffs will occur at the Cold Spring Farm location in Palmyra.
The letter stated that the layoffs will take place on or around November 7, and are estimated to last about 4-6 months. Officials added hope that they can recall impacted employees in the future upon repopulating birds at the facility and return to full operations.
