Longtime community members Brian and Lisa Keith have been crowned as the 47th Annual Christmas Parade Marshals, highlighting their decades of local service. The couple were surprised with the honor during a casual luncheon with Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce staff and Christmas Parade Committee members earlier this week.

For over three decades, Lisa worked at the David Traylor Zoo, retiring as Executive Director in 2024. Under her 16 years as director, the Zoo grew exponentially, achieving Association of Zoos and Aquariums accreditation and guiding a multi-million campaign. Brian and Lisa are also known around the community for involvement with advancing local initiatives.
