A Cincinnati assistant fire chief has been fired months after he was placed on leave pending an internal investigation.
City officials confirmed back in July that Cincinnati Fire Chief Frank McKinley placed Assistant Chief Sherman Smith on paid administrative leave, pending an internal investigation involving "a potential violation of city of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Fire Department policies."
