GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - With SNAP benefits being reduced and delayed for November, a local temporary housing shelter in Green Bay is reminding the community of its free meals service.

The New Community Shelter on Green Bay's Mather Street is reminding everyone that free, hot meals will be available daily to anyone in the community throughout November, while the uncertainty of SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits persists due to the federal government shutdown.

The New Community Shelter is the only meal program in Brown County that serves meals every day of the year, and while it serves our community members in need, the shelter also relies on community support to keep its services going.
