Poundland has issued an urgent recall due to the "possible presence of glass" in one of its popular snacks.

Poundland & Dealz has recalled The Tasty Snack Co. Roasted and Salted Cashews because the product may contain glass, making it unsafe to eat, the Foods Standards Agency (FSA) has said.

Issuing a product recall notice on Thursday (November 6), the variety store said: "If you have bought the above product, do not eat this. Instead return this to a Poundland store for a full refund (no proof of purchase required).

"We are asking any customers who purchased this product to return it to Store for a full refund, no receipt is required."
