Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland was found dead early Thursday morning from what’s believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a police chase.
The heartbreaking news of Kneeland’s death shocked the NFL community. And on Thursday afternoon, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was asked about the tragedy.
“Obviously, the NFL is a brotherhood. So obviously that was on our mind this morning,” Sirianni said at the NovaCare Complex. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and to the Dallas Cowboys. It puts things in perspective. Don’t really want to speak too much more on that.”
Kneeland’s death was announced by the Cowboys on Thursday morning.
