LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE/AP) - First responders continued searching for more victims Wednesday after a UPS cargo plane crashed and exploded in a massive fireball at the company’s global aviation hub in Kentucky.
At least 12 people were killed, including a child, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear and Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg announced during late Wednesday.
Approximately 16 other families reported loved ones who were unaccounted for.

An NTSB spokesperson said preliminary investigations revealed that the left engine detached from the wing during takeoff.
