Meghan Markle is returning to acting with a cameo in the comedy “Close Personal Friends” , starring Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, Brie Larson, and Henry Golding , now filming in Los Angeles. The duchess will play herself.

Directed by Jason Orley and written by Isaac Aptaker , the film follows an ordinary couple who befriends a celebrity couple in Santa Barbara — leading to awkward consequences.

This marks Markle’s first acting role in over seven years since Suits . In recent years, she has focused on producing projects for Netflix.
