LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Coronado Mustangs and Lubbock High Westerners will come into Lowrey Field anxious to close out their season with a long-awaited victory. After coming off an open date last week, Coronado head coach Andrew Roy believes it possible to end the season Friday night with a hard-earned win.

“We think we match up pretty good, and we’re just excited for another opportunity to get out and, try to go out on top,” he said. “Not necessarily on top as winning a title or going to the playoffs, just going out with a win and we feel confident.”

In week three, the Westerners topped the Snyder Tigers 48-21 on KCBD’s “Thursday Night Throwdown”. Lubbock High head coach Juan Rodriguez hopes to experience the same level of victory Friday night.
