LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that led to property damage at SWLA Center for Health Services Community Garden Thursday.
Lake Charles Police Department Sgt. Brad Puckett says the crash took place early Thursday morning at the garden, located near the corner of North Prater and Opelousas streets.
Police found vehicle parts at the scene of the crash, Puckett said.
Through their investigation, Puckett said officers learned that the driver of the vehicle had a 2018 Audi Q5 towed to a residence on 12th Street in Lake Charles.
The driver, who has not been identified, admitted to being involved in the hit-and-run, Puckett said. The driver was cited for hit-and-run driving and released at scene.
