MADISON (WKOW) — Luke Fickell will remain on the sidelines as the Badgers head coach in 2026, according to ESPN .
Wisconsin Athletic Director Chris McIntosh told ESPN on Thursday that Fickell would be back for another season.
The Badgers are 15-19 in three seasons under Fickell. The team has lost six straight games, with their last win on Sept. 6 against Middle Tennessee.
McIntosh told ESPN, "Chancellor (Jennifer) Mnookin and I are aligned on significantly elevating investment in our program to compete at highest level."
He added, "We are willing to make an investment in infrastructure and staff. As important, is our ability to retain and recruit players in a revenue share and NIL era."
Fickell's contract runs through the 2031 season.
