After more than two centuries in print, The Old Farmers’ Almanac will end its run with its 2026 edition. Known for long-term weather predictions, fishing and gardening guides and folk wisdom, the publication expressed pride in its 208-year legacy. “It is with a heavy heart that we share the end of what has not only been an annual tradition in millions of homes and hearths for hundreds of years, but also a way of life, an inspiration for many who realize the wisdom of generations past is the key to the generations of the future,” editor Sandi Duncan said in a press release. The decision to call it quits was made due to the increasing financial challenges of producing and distributing the Almanac in today’s media environment, the publishers said.
