Joe Mastrangelo, the CEO of battery-maker Eos Energy, envisioned a camera panning over a Steelers or Pirates game to catch EOS’s logo in the Pittsburgh skyline.
It will be installed on top of a building at Nova Place, where EOS has leased three floors, or 41,000 square feet, for the next dozen years for its corporate headquarters and technology hub, an announcement met with $24 million in state and local funding and a ceremony with Gov. Josh Shapiro last month.
On an earnings call on Thursday, Mr. Mastrangelo and company executives used the momentum from that announcement, and several recently publicized agreements with customers, to say EOS is all ramped up for its big leap into large-scale manufacturing and, eventually, profitability.
