HILLSDALE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Parke Vermillion County Humane Society is celebrating 25 years of caring for animals.
The shelter opened its doors in November 2000. They are celebrating the anniversary with an open house on November 16th. The humane society will be offering microchipping, pet portraits, and adoption specials at the event. There will also be a drink trailer, offering a variety of beverages.
Microchipping will be 15 dollars per pet and pet portraits will be donation-based. For anyone looking to adopt a furry friend, they will be offering a $25 adoption special for cats and dogs over 6 months old.
