GOSHEN, Ind. (WNDU) - An Elkhart County woman accused of being partly responsible in the death of her 6-year-old stepson has pleaded guilty.

According to our reporting partners at The Goshen News , 27-year-old Cheyenne Elmore signed plea papers at the Elkhart County Jail on Thursday morning before pleading guilty to murder (aiding, inducing or causing) in Elkhart County Circuit Court.

This comes almost three months after she and the boy’s father, 29-year-old Franklin Elmore Jr., were formally charged with the boy’s murder and about a month after Franklin pleaded guilty .
