BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -Members of the community and the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce gathered Thursday to celebrate the formal opening of the newest Matthew 25 clinic.
“Matthew 25 had very humble beginnings. It started as a support group within a local church that’s in Henderson, Kentucky during the AIDs epidemic. There were people that were members of that church that were dying from AIDS, and our founder, her name was Cindy Burton, she was a nurse by trade. So, she started a support group, and she saw a need, so she began to address it,” explained Matthew 25 CEO Courtney Woolfork.
Since 1996, the nonprofit has grown to include four locations, a pharmacy, and a mobile unit that all provide care to those living with HIV.
