A 36-year-old man from Los Angeles has been charged by prosecutors in Colorado in connection with an allegedly sprawling, multi-state sex trafficking ring, officials announced earlier this week.

Authorities in Colorado became aware of Andrew Dominguez’s activity while investigating a different suspect for sexual assault, the Los Angeles Times reported. A woman, presumably a victim in that investigation, told investigators that she believed someone had included her in online commercial sex and prostitution sites.

It was later determined that Dominguez had reportedly made the online posts and, according to a news release from the Denver District Attorney’s Office, had been engaged in recruiting hundreds of women and girls online, attempting to get them to take part in the sex trafficking r
